This page collects the veneer and laminate lists from Major Work Activity D (Tasks D-10 and D-11) of the Red Seal Occupational Standard. The standard only names these items. It does not describe them, so learn the lists together with the task steps they belong to.
Definitions used in the standard
- Veneer (Task D-10): made of wood, with no backing.
- Laminate sheet (Task D-11): includes veneers that have a backing, because they are handled in the same way.
- Laminate provides a finish that is durable, sanitary and decorative.
