Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
Stands for WHMIS: Canadian legislation that governs how information about hazardous materials in the workplace is provided; it incorporates the global harmonized system (GHS). The RSOS lists WHMIS among the safety requirements and regulations cabinetmakers must know (Task A-1) and refers to WHMIS materials such as labels and SDS when finishing (Task F-15).
